Convictus wrinkles his noise as he gets poked, his other images fading into the air within moments of him losing his concentration. "Nice guess." He outstretches his hand, waiting for whatever item it may be. "Well? You -did- say you'd give it to me."

Rainalune can't help but giggle again when his nose wrinkles. She waves away his hand, paying no mind to whether or not he let it drop away from her. Scooting in closer, she pops up onto her tippy toes and finally raises the hand from behind her back. A tiny little leaf and feather had been tied together with what looked like a vine, and she was now quite obviously attempting to tie the little bundle of earthy hippy goodness into his hair. "I did indeed!"

The mage, astonishingly, allows Raina to to tie the hand made trinket into his snowy white hair. A colleague passing by notices the gesture and stops dead in their tracks, mouth agape. Convictus notices them and shoots them a death glare, immediately causing them to walk away -very- fast. He looks back at Raina with a smile. "A hand-made gift? For me?" He seems a bit flustered by the gesture. "I...erhm..." The big scary mage blushes. "Thank you...no one has ever given me anything before."

Rainalune grinned wide when finally the trinket rested in place, a stark green and brown contrast to the white hair it was nestled against. Clapping her hands, she remains entirely oblivious to the reactions of those around them, simply admiring the man with the leaf and feather in his hair. "Well why not? We're friends now, right?" Her grin widens further when the blush shows on his face, causing her to bounce on her heels in excitement. "Aww! I made ya blush! Ya look good in pink, Convictus! And you're welcome!"

Convictus smiles as she proclaims them friends, but quickly blushes a deep, deep pink as she calls him out. "I...I don't know what you're talking about." He tries to regain his composure, shaking his head. "I have a class to lecture! You're making me late!"

Rainalune giggles mischievously when the blush deepens, quite literally bouncing around him with sheer glee. "I melted a frostberg! I melted Convictus! Big bad mage is all blushy face!" Coming to an abrupt halt in front of him, she grins and reaches out to poke his nose again. "You're a silly one. Go teach your class. I'll wait for ya! Don't wanna interrupt and all that!"

Convictus literally facepalms and groans as the druid bounces around him. Right before he teleports up to the Tower, he grins and reaches behind her ear. Within seconds he summons and shapes a small ice block into a tiny rose. "Two can play at that game..." He hands her the rose and quickly teleports up to the Mage Tower, a faint laugh lingers in the air.

Rainalune ceases her antics when the mage's hand shoots out and reaches behind her head, a tiny blush of her own tinting her cheeks light red. When the rose of ice is handed to her, the tint deepens, and she watches in silent awe as he disappears. Pursing her lips, she peers back down at the rose, making her way over to the pathway up the Mage Tower. She takes a seat on the edge, letting her feet dangle and sway as she stares at the little sculpture. "...meanie mage."

Convictus appears in front of his class, a bit disheveled by the instant teleport. He straightens his hair, dusts his robes off, and clears his throat. "Good morning, class. Todays lecture involves the consequences of wielding multiple schools of magic within the same nexus." He begins a demonstration by summons a globule of water and a lick of fire in each hand. "Magic...is not only a force that we as understudies strive to perfect, to use to our own advantages....it is also a science that must be respected. Can someone tell me what will happen if I mix these two incantations together?" He eyes the classroom, waiting for a hand to raise.

Rainalune sat for long moments, simply enjoying the sight of the rose before she finally pushed herself back to her feet and strode upwards. She looked quite obviously lost, wandering and searching as quietly as she could. Finally, her ears twitched at the sound of a familiar voice. Sticking her head around the corner to peer into the room, she grinned when she saw the mage standing before his class, a different element in each hand. Ducking in, she sunk into a seat, twirling the rose between her fingers carefully.

Convictus scans the room, looking for a student to answer his question. He notices Raina sitting towards the back of the class. His eyes widen slightly as he decides to continue the lecture. "Scientifically speaking, fire and water fused together would make steam. This is inherently true. But..." He combines the two elements together, steam forming in his hands as predicted...but also another force becomes apparent. A wispy, bluish material crackles around his hands. "Magic is not simply scientific...two opposite schools colliding causes the flux of the spell to become unstable. As it breaks apart...the mana used to cast it is let loose into the air. This small example is harmless..." He waves his hands as the mana is absorbed into his body. "But on a much larger scale...it could form what is called quite crudely...a "Mana Bomb". You do not want to accidentally blow yourselves up, students." He nods sagely.

Rainalune grins when she notices him noticing her noticing him....noticing her? Settling comfortably, she kicks her feet up onto the table in front of her, completely oblivious to classroom ettiquette. Her head tilts as she listens and observes, her head nodding as the thought she'd had was proven true. The crackling though was unexpected, and it showed in her expression as she watched it begin and then become reabsorbed. She continued to quietly fiddle with the rose, gaze shifting between the man at the front of the class and the little trinket he'd given her. "...but explosions are so pretty..." She tensed when she realized she'd said that thought out loud, sinking further into her seat.

Convictus was about to continue the lecture but is immediately stopped in his tracks by a familiar voice. The entire class turns around to stare at the druid with her poor classroom manners. Meanwhile, Convictus facepalms again at the situation. "Class. I'd like you to meet, Raina. She is a good friend of mine. She's come to our lecture today to volunteer herself in my next demonstration." He motions for the elven woman to come up to the front of the class. "Come now, Raina. Let's not keep the students waiting."

Rainalune immediately looks as though she'd become the tiniest person in the world. Perhaps smaller than a gnome, even! Eyes shifting from one face to the next as they all turned to look at her, a nervous tight grin spread forcefully across her lips as she raised a hand to wave slowly. "Haha...hiya..." Her gaze shifts once more and locks onto Convictus as he calls her up, her brows furrowing in tightly held irritation. Taking a deep breath, she shoves herself up out of her seat and walks stiffly to the front of the room. "What are we doing now? Not gonna freeze my hand again, are ya? Don't let him shake your hand, he's tricky. Tricky tricky."

The class chuckles quietly at her comment. Convictus motions for the class to focus on the two of them. "In this demonstration, I will show how two opposite elements can attract as well, even restore one's life energy." He takes a few steps towards Raina and grasps her hand like before. He begins saying the same incantation, allowing a small aura of flame to surround her hand. While he mantains his concentration, he forms his own aura of frost on his own hand. "Now, class. I want you to observe." He motions for Raina to hold her hand out, palm facing him.

Rainalune grins when the class chuckles, fancying herself quite the assistant just then. Settling on the balls of her feet in front of him, she rocks back and forth for a moment as he explains the demonstration about to take place, tucking the rose into her hair to keep it from harm. Her attention rests solely on him once he takes her hand, eyes on his. Simply nodding to his unspoken instructions, she raises her hand, holding her palm out facing the mage.

Convictus nods and outstretches his hand towards hers, palm facing outward. "This might feel a little strange at first, but don't panic." He slowly moves his hand towards hers, the closer they get the more the spells become unstable. As the mana begins crackling around them, Convictus concentrates on keeping it contained between them. Their fingertips touch, the fire and ice instantly turning into a mixture of steam and mana. "Observe, class, as I manipulate the chaotic energy formed." He intertwines his fingers with hers and looks directly into her eyes, a faint arcane glow surrounds his usual amber color. The mana swirls into a tangible entity as it begins to coat both of their hands and arms. The feeling of the spell would be a tingling sensation followed by a strong feeling of inner calm.

Rainalune didn't even nod. The calm expression on her face said that she trusted him not to accidentally kill her here in front of this class. She swallows as his fingertips touch her's, keeping herself in check so as not to cause the spell to go sour. Tugging her eyes away from his for a moment, she looks around at the mana and steam rising around them, a curious and awe stricken look in her eyes. At the feeling of his fingers intertwining with her own though, her eyes snap back to his as a deep red settled into her features. She silently thanked the Light as the tingling sensation let on to an inner calm, a small smile appearing on her lips.

Convictus smiles back at her, the class observing with a mixture of awe and bewilderment. The mage reluctantly releases their hands and the remainder of the spell dissipates. He turns to face the class. "That is called Evoking the Arcane. Or Evocation. Some of you are familiar with the spell, as it's inherent purpose is to restore one's mana. But through study and discipline, one can also harness the energy expelled to restore one's health and spirit as well." He looks around the classroom, his students diligently writing on parchment. "Your assignment is to write an essay explaining the pros and cons of using this type of magic. It is due on my desk tommorrow at dawn. Class dismissed." He shooes the students away and turns back toward Raina. "Did you enjoy the demonstration?"

Rainalune blinked a few times when the mage released her hands, clearing her throat and shaking off the lingering tingles. Turning along with him to face the class, she grins out at them, waiting until he'd finished his long explanation and had given them their assignments. As the students began to filter out, she peered up at the ceiling as if it was suddenly very interesting. "Hmm? Oh uh...it was interesting! Glad I was of some help to ya!" Finally, she looked over at him, eyes wide and innocent. "They must learn fast. I was expecting ya to be in here a lot longer!"
