Convictus shrugs. "Some lectures are longer than others. I didn't feel like preparing a long one this morning. Besides, they're a sorry lot...it'll take them years before they even remotely understand what I'm teaching them." He chuckles to himself. "No matter...I think it's time to finish my readings. You're welcome to join me...but I won't be talking too much." He conjures an old, musty tome out of thin air and catches it as it falls.

Rainalune scoffed and rolled her eyes at him, wandering to the nearest table to prop herself against it. "Ya don't got much faith in your students, mage. They'll pick up on it if ya aren't careful." As a book falls into his hands from out of nowhere, she shrugs and plucks the rose from her hair, returning to admiring the shimmering trinket. "Take your time." Feet swaying back and forth again, she hums quietly as she stares at the little thing.

Rainalune could be heard grumbling from a decent distance, though whatever it was she was saying was ridiculously muffled. A definitive popping noise followed alongside her footsteps as she wandered toward the study. When she finally neared the door, the grumbling stopped and all was silent save for her footsteps and that popping until...crash! Something hit the ground rather loudly, metal spun and then fell flat, and all of that noise died down only to be followed with a quiet whimper of "...I'm okay!" Within another few quiet moments, her footsteps had begun again, and she finally entered the study looking as if a boar had tried to rip her leg off...and perhaps a few other limbs judging by the crutch and bandages!

Convictus was startled by the loud noise coming from a distance, the floating tome falling straight onto the floor. He rubbed his temples angrily and snarled, about to deliver a swift tongue lashing to whoever dared to disturb his reading. The mage stood up quickly and began walking towards the source until Raina came into full view, her body looking battered and beaten. Instantly his face turned pale and his expression to that of concern. "Raina?! What the hell happened to you?!" He burst sprinted towards her and attempted to help keep her steady. "What mess did you get yourself into?! By Elune, girl...."

Rainalune straightened immediately when she saw Convictus rushing toward her, her face reddening considerably. Why she was surprised to find him here, she wasn't entirely certain. His concern caught her off guard though. Blinking up at him as he helped steady her on her crutch, a small smile cracked into her bruised features. "Silly mage." She started forward, seeming intent on finding herself a seat in and amongst the seating area of the study. "What the hell happens to anyone who goes out adventuring for a living? Or more specifically...goes adventuring with strangers who have no business being out in the field in the first place..." There was that grumbling again, following her quite tightly as she walked. A small trail of green light could be seen shimmering around her right leg in particular. "I'll be fine....wait...what are you doing in my guild hall?"

Convictus followed closely behind her, his looks of concern never leaving his face. He eyed her up and down, scanning for any serious injuries. His gaze stops at the glowing green light emanating from her right leg. "What is that? That doesn't look natural." Convictus grumbles to himself. "You need to find a better hunting party, or at the very least...take -me- next time!" The mage stops dead in his tracks as she asks him about being in her guild hall. "Wait...YOUR guild hall? This is -you....I joined YOUR guild?!"

Rainalune reddened further as he hovered around her like some sort of mother hen. When finally she finds herself a seat, she simply collapses down onto it, carefully raising her leg to rest across the cushions. "It's called healing, mister know it all." She gave him a playful grin as she glanced back down at her leg. "I managed to injure the bone I think, so I'm mending it slowly so I don't drain myself in the process. And I'm all too aware of my party needs. So next time, I will most certainly drag you out of your studies or classes or whatever other stuffy things you might be doing at the time." Her grin widened as her gaze met his, a soft almost pained giggle leaving her lips. "So you're part of the guild, huh? Well...welcome to the ranks then, rookie!"

Convictus facepalms, running his hand down his face slowly and groaning. He slouches, then throws his hands up in the air. "HMPH! Well I certainly -apologize- for being so CONCERNED FOR YOUR HEALTH!" His voice was raised significantly. "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WHILE YOU'RE OUT GETTING YOURSELF HU-...." He stops himself and arches an eyebrow, feeling as though he caught himself in a strange state of mind. "Nevermind." He nods as she offers her welcome towards him. "Yeah yeah...now let me see if I can help you with this leg..." He walks towards her and kneels down in front of her, examining the leg. The mage smirks and looks up at Raina, "Might as well kiss up to my superior, right?" He chuckles with a deep baritone.

Rainalune stared wide eyed at his sudden outburst, the former red hue draining from her face, leaving her almost deathly pale. It was frightening to see him so worked up, but flattering. Pursing her lips, she turned her gaze back down to her injured leg, focusing on it rather than looking at him for the time being. "Sorry..." Her hands folded across her lap as he kneeled in front of her, eyes shifting fairly quickly back and forth between him and her leg as the color slowly returned to her features. "Uh...sure. Ya don't gotta...kiss up though..."

Convictus slowly shakes his head as he removes his gloves and rubs his hands together. "Don't apologize, Raina...we all get into scuffs...just for some reason I don't like seeing you get into them. Don't ask me why. Even my infinite wisdom can't comprehend it." He snorts derisively. "I'm going to apply a small amount of time manipulation to your body, focusing on your leg. It will accelerate the healing process a bit without sacrificing the integrity of the muscles, skin and bones." He places one hand on the affected portion of her leg, and the other gets placed on her sternum. The mage looks at Raina with a solemn expression. "This will hurt a bit...you may feel a little dizzy after as well." Convictus gently presses his palms into her skin and utters an incantation in elvish. Without warning, an orb begins to envelop both Raina and Convictus. Once the orb fully covered them both, the world around them seemed to move at a much faster pace. What was actually a few seconds felt like an entire day. The orb quickly dissipates as the mage collapses backwards onto the floor, his breathing is labored.

Rainalune finally seemed to relax when he spoke again, her gaze settling into place wandering his face. "Well...I'll do my best to avoid this in the future then..." Her long overly elegant brows knitted together, hands wringing in her lap. "Thank you for caring." When he began to explain what he intended to do, her head tilted to the side, the blue ponytail swaying behind her with the movement. "Curious use of your magic...please, go ahead." She swallowed and took a deep breath as his hands came to rest against her skin, busying her own with...nothing. Infuriating. A gasp left her as the orb formed and spread to contain the both of them, an awed expression on her face before the pain of the process kicked in. Groaning softly, she began to slide down the cushion, her hand reaching out and failing to catch the mage before her head hits the pillow of the lounger, her eyes rolling back in her head before simply closing.

Convictus kept himself on the floor as his breathing remained labored, gazing up at the ceiling. "You're...welcome..." is all he could muster from his lips. After a moment the mage went eerily quiet, his breathing was rather shallow at this point.

Rainalune lay in complete silence against the pillow, her own breathing shallow and ragged. Forcing her eyes to open, she peered down at the blurry form of the mage laying on the floor next to her seat. Her lips parted as if she intended to speak, but nothing came out. Those long blue brows knit together again as she planted her hand firmly against the cushion beneath her, forcing herself toward the edge of the lounger. When she was near dangling from it, her hand reached for him again, likely barely brushing him. "...Con...ya okay?"

Convictus didn't move when she brushed him, nor did he respond to her question. He still was laying there silent, his breathing becoming more and more shallow. The amber hue of his eyes began to dim ever so slowly.

Rainalune sucked in a breath when she didn't get a response from the man on the floor. Tensing, she gave herself one forceful shove and fell rather gracelessly to the floor, groaning when she hit. Cursed mage magic, that shit hurt. Pulling herself up next to him, she stared into his face, watching breathlessly as the color began to drain from his eyes. "Con...get up..." Her hand raised shakily, coming to rest squarely centered on his chest. "...look...look at me...curse you..." Green light enveloped her hand as she spoke, the azure glow of her eyes flaring furiously.

Convictus' breathing slowly began to normalize as her hand touched his chest. The green light permeated the skin and tissue of the mage. He blinked rapidly and focused his gaze on the druid. "R-...Ra-ina?" He was able to inhale and exhale deeply this time. "Are you...alright? Why are...you on the floor?" The mage tried to hoist himself off of the floor, but his arms failed him as he fell back down.

Rainalune immediately collapsed face first when the mage finally responded, the light from her hand disappearing beneath the fabric of his robe. She spoke into the floor for a moment before she realized nothing she said would be understood. Turning her head, she glared at him through glazed eyes. "...if I...had the strength...I'd s-slap the shit...outta ya..."

Convictus managed a chuckle at the remark, a sly grin creeping across his face as usual. "You better...not! I like...my face!" Convictus scanned the room around them with an arched brow. "You realize if...someone were to walk in right now...it would look as if we just shared an intimate...moment." He chuckles and coughed at the same time, his hand containing a small amount of blood. "Damned spell nearly killed me..." He sighed and managed to prop himself up and lean his back against a chair.

Rainalune let her cheek rest there against the floor, seeming not at all ready to move just yet. "Yeah well...I like your face too...doesn't mean I won't rearrange it..." She blinked at his next words, brows furrowing again. "...oh, that would be horrible..." Her tone dripped with sarcasm and perhaps just a hint of hurt. Suddenly having found that strength, she pushed herself up from the floor, resting on her knees. "Yeah it did. Lucky for ya, I was here....daft stuffy grouchy geezer jerk..." Her arms crossed over her chest as she settled back into mumbles and grumbles.
