Convictus shot a glare at Raina, the color now back in his face. "I'm not a grouchy geezer! I'm not even old!" He huffs and crosses his arms as well. He stares directly ahead, only catching small glances of Raina every few moments to see her reaction. He hung his head as if to feel shamed. "Thank you Raina...I'm sorry you had to see me like that. I guess I'm not as much of a know-it-all as I thought." He chuckled and looked at her. "Of course it had to take a near death experience for me to believe that, apprently." He laughed some more and then sighed nervously. He pressed an idle hand onto his chest where she layed hers.

Rainalune glared right back at him, her jaw set stubbornly as her eyes flared bright azure again as they had just moments before. "Don't yell at me! I just saved your life!" She huffed and looked away again, the stubborness fading from her expression as he spoke. "Don't mention it. Besides...I already knew ya didn't know everything...even if you are a geezer." She glanced back at him, a brow perking as his hand moved to rest against his chest.

Convictus shook his head as she refused to let up on her teasing. He looked at her, unknowingly still pressing his hand against his chest. "You're a pain in the ass, Raina. Did you know that?" He gets himself up enough to plop down into the chair he was leaning on beforehand. "You're incredibly infuriating, you make my blood pressure skyrocket faster than a goblin with speed boosters, and yet...even near death, you STILL manage to crack a joke." Convictus still held his hand to his chest during this entire rant, unbeknownst to him. "My life was so much simpler before I stumbled upon you at that damn fountain."

Rainalune followed his movements with her eyes, her gaze lingering on the hand he still held to his chest. When he returned to his chair, she moved to her hands and knees and crawled over to his side, shaking at hand at him dismissively. "Who the hell said I was joking? And this pain in the ass, I remind ya again, just SAVED your LIFE. So stuff it, geezer." Reaching up, she laid her hand across his, her brows knitted in concern. "Yeah well...life sucks sometimes. Sorry ya had to stumble across such a huge pain in the ass. Now what's wrong with your chest?"

Convictus huffed and scoffed as she spoke of her heroic deed. "I know, I know...I'm -deeply- indebted to you, Raina. Rub it in why don't you?" He rolls his eyes. His expression turned somber as she "apologized" for her meeting him. He actually felt...bad for saying something like that. Though his thoughts were racing on that idea, he quickly shrugged it off when he heard her question. He looked down at his chest, noticing his hand still pressed against it with hers atop. "Oh. I..." He slowly removed his hand, turning it enough to allow their palms to rest against each other. A familiar feeling rushes through him as their fingers touched once more. "I don't know..." For once, the mage was speechless.

Rainalune put her free hand on her hip. "Yes, yes ya are. And I fully intend to." She didn't seem to notice the somber expression, hand moving from her hip to rest on his knee as she scooted in a little closer. "You don't know?" Continuing her shuffling, she carefully pulled her hand free of his and shoved his legs open, positioning herself between them and leaning in. Pressing her cheek firmly against his chest, she fell silent, apparently listening closely to his heartbeat...if he had no objections of course.

Convictus frowned as Raina pulled her hand away from his, but that sadness was quickly replaced with confusion and terror as she forced his legs apart and got pretty damn close to him! His eyes widened considerably as her head rested against his chest. She would hear and possibly feel his heart beating incredibly fast at this point. The mage's hands are kept at his side, not entirely sure what to do with them. Though he decides to take one and awkwardly place it on her back. "Was this a hug of some sort?" ; he thought to himself...not wanting to embarass himself by actually asking her.

Rainalune looked even more concerned when she heard how quickly his heart was beating. "Light...your heart is racing, Con. Are ya all right?" She pulled away, reaching up with both hands to feel his cheek, his forehead, his neck, anywhere she could check his temperature that he wouldn't stop her hands from going. "I can heal ya more!" Not a second passed before both of her hands began to glow with that same green light, tiny beads of sweat slowly popping over across her brow. "Just hold still..."

Convictus felt a bit stunned as the whole ordeal unfolded. He managed to squeak out a few words while her hands moved all over him. "Uhm...Raina...I'm fine....I'm not..." He closed his eyes momentarily as the combination of her touch and the healing warmth hit him pretty hard. "I...actually that feels nice...nevermind." If she could see his face through the glow, it would look incredibly bright red.

Rainalune shuddered as she forced all of the energy she could muster into him, her hands beginning to shake noticeably against his skin. The small beads of sweat began to roll down her face. "...hush...Con..." She wasn't at all aware of his appearance, entirely concentrated and her eyes closed tight as she fought to keep herself going. Whatever was wrong, she was damned well going to fix it. Her lips parted after long moments of concentration, a soft sigh escaping her as her body jerked then stiffened. Finally, she fell forward into his lap, her chest nestled in rather well placed position.

Convictus watched on in stunned silence as she continued her healing ritual. He didn't quite know how to react until her body jerked and fell against him. Not only becoming overwhelmed by the feeling of her leaning against him, but also incredibly so by the well thought out placement of her chest. He whimpered slightly at the feeling of her soft skin resting against his nether region. He kept his eyes closed and tried to concentrate enough to not become aroused and make the situation anymore awkward. He failed miserably.

Rainalune lay there shivering against him, murmuring incoherently for several long moments before the feeling of something...nudging? Her eyes slowly opened, the azure glow dim at best. The room was deathly still. It seemed to take some time for the situation to sink in, and when it finally did, her cheeks reddened considerably. Still, she didn't move. Whether it was because she couldn't, wouldn't, or was too confused to decide...wasn't really clear. "...are ya okay?"

Convictus' eyes were about as wide as they could be. He looked down at Raina with an incredibly awkward smile. "I feel great!" He exclaimed rather loudly with a slight crackle in his baritone voice. He exhaled audibly, a slight shiver following the end of the breath. The mage closed his eyes, trying to keep himself from moving. "Are....you okay?"

Rainalune still hadn't looked up at him, her eyes out of focus for the most part and aimed squarely at the arm of the chair. "Good..." Her frown returned, though less prominent in her exhausted state, as he shivered beneath her. "I'll be fine...why are you shivering?" One hand raised, shuffled and grabbing aimlessly for his for a moment before she found it. "...are you cold?"

Convictus shook his head to her question as her hand found his. "No, no...I'm fine dear..." The mage was completely oblivious to what he had just uttered, moving to grasp her hand tightly. "It's nothing you have to worry about, it's a completely natural bodily reaction...I'm sure it'll pass with time and perhaps some cold water." He nodded sagely, as if reading information from an old textbook.

Rainalune reddened further, her hand now seeming awkward and unsure in his. Finally, she tilted her head just enough to chance a look up at him. "Oh...uh..." She squirmed slightly against him, her face contorting into the same uncertainty he likely found in her fingers grasping his. "I...I didn't mean..." She swallowed hard, brows knitting together again as she forced herself just to relax until the stuffy old geezer told her to shoo.

Convictus managed a heartfelt smile as he held his grip firmly on her hand. "It's alright, Raina...I'm sorry for my...reaction." He sighed softly and placed his free hand on her hair, running his fingers through it rather calmly. "I uhm...I'm enjoying our...time...together?" He fumbled with his words.

Rainalune stiffened, her eyes focusing rather quickly when his fingers began the gentle caressing through her hair. She stared off at that chair arm for long drawn out minutes before finally she moved enough to look up at him full on. "Don't be. I like you too." Quick as lightning, she snuck in and kissed the tip of his nose, then slipped free and turned to bolt from the room. Obviously, he'd managed to heal her leg. VICTORY!

The mage's face blush considerably as she kissed him, closing him eyes as her lips touched his skin. As quickly as the sensation came, it was gone just as fast. As she bolted away from him he quickly got up and chased after her, blinking forward and running into the wall. "Raina! W-AGHDAMMIT-wait! Why are you leaving?!" He continued to give chase.

Rainalune was just as red in the face as the mage likely was back in the study. She ran as quickly as her legs would carry her, then came to a screeching halt when she heard a loud slam behind her. Eyes wide, she turned to look back, worried that the stuffy robe wearing man had injured himself somehow. Instead, she found him chasing after her, and her eyes widened further. "...oh uh...things to do! Yup!" A nervous grin on her face, she turned to start running again.
